• How do typical newborn sessions go? What's the process? •

I like to take more of a natural approach to capturing your little one. This means a lot more candid, lifestyle type shots that include you, your spouse and babe just interacting as a new fam. I want you to remember how it all looked and felt. Of course, I'll capture some individual photos of your baby as well. I like to set aside two hours for this one because I know new babies can be unpredictable, and you'll still be getting into your groove with everything!
• Who can be included in these sessions? •
As I mentioned above, I like to take more of a lifestyle approach, so (in addition to parents), siblings and pets are always welcome! Since these sessions are meant to capture the milestones of your baby's first year, I'll reserve some time to focus on just them too.
• Where do you suggest doing the sessions? •
I have a curated list of faves for MATERNITY sessions that I can send over with a variety of locations, depending on the vibe you're going for! As for NEWBORN, I love to do these in your home! This is so sweet because it allows us to capture all the details of their nursery, and gives you some comfortability if we have to take a break for a fussy baby. If you don't love the idea of using your home as a backdrop for photos, I have a beautiful natural-light studio we can reserve for a small fee. When they start to grow and become more interactive, for their SIX MONTH and/or ONE YEAR, we can consider another third-party location from my list of recommendations - studio can be a great choice for these! At this point, doing something outdoors is a lot more feasible too.
• Can I mix-and-match any of the above offerings? •
YES! For instance, if you wanted to skip the sixth month session and do the maternity, newborn, and one year session, we can create a custom collection.
• What is required to book a collection? •
Booking requires a 30% non-refundable retainer fee (this is part of your total price, not additional!) and signed contract. The remaining cost is split up among the remaining number of sessions and can be paid as we go.
